Latin III Emperor Project  

The purpose of this project is to gain a great understanding of some of the better-known Roman Emperors.

Assignment

The purpose of this project is to gain a greater understanding of some of the beter-known Roman Emperors. You will be assigned a particular emperor and your task will be to create an i-movie/creative power point/google that teaches us about your emperor.

After all the presentations have been given, you will have a test that covers all 12 emperors. So, you will need to take notes during each presentation. The following is the list of emperors:

(Augustus-not included but you will be given info on him to know for test)
Tiberius
Caligula
Claudius
Nero
Vespasian
Domitian
Trajan
Hadrian
(Antonius Pius-not included by you will be given info on him to know for test)
Marcus Aurelius
Commodus
(Septimus Severus-not included but you will be given info on him to know for test)
(Caracalla-not included but you will be given info on him to know for test)
Diocletian
(Constatine-not included but you will be given info on him to know for test)

Your presentation should at minumum include the following:

Full name
Born/died
How died
Predecessor
Successor
Name of dynasty belongs to (if any)
Length of rule
Any Roman monuments associated with him? (if applicable)
Any written works associated with him? (if applicable)
Noted authors during his time (what they wrote/their name)
Condition of Empire during his reign?
Expanded Emipre? (if applicable)
What did he do for the Empire?
Nicknames.titles associated with him  (if appliacable)
Religion under his rule?
At least 7 additional facts of note

You will need to consult at least 4-5 resources for information. Do not rely solely on Wikipedia! You will also need to provide a bibliography

**In addition to a visual presentation, you will need to create a handout/outline to be filled in by classmates while you are presenting. This will be a crucial study tool for all when preparing for the test. So, be certain your is good!**
