7th Grade Biomes Project (Brown)  

Resources to support the Biomes Project in Ms. Brown's 7th grade science class.

Ms. Brown's Biome Assignment

Students will be given one of the following 8 biomes to research:
  1. Desert
  2. Tropical grassland
  3. Temperate grassland
  4. Tropical rain forest
  5. Temperate deciduous forest
  6. Temperate rain forest
  7. Taiga
  8. Tundra
They will be looking for this information:
  • world distribution of the biome (you may include a map)
  • climate of the biome (i.e. average temperature & precipitation)
  • typical flora (plants)
  • typical fauna (animals)
  • ecological concerns, current & future conservation efforts
  • visuals (pictures, diagrams) to enhance the appeal of the flyer
